QCT develop electronics to enhance the CMM offering of your machines, from interfaces to USB's

Electronics

There are 2 types of electronics available from QCT: Manual or CNC

Using our own electronics to replace the factory installed versions on standard CMMs means that we are able to make them more serviceable, with faults being easier to detect, and improve the longevity of the CMM. This in turn allows us to train staff more efficiently, perform regular and thorough services and calibrations, troubleshoot issues faster and install upgrades and updates quickly with minimal ‘down time’.

The electronics are split into CNC controller and joystick or manual USB interfaces, providing you with either a manual or an automated control for the CMM. Each type allows you to control the inspection mechanisms and programme the automation accordingly. You can view the individual specifications of each control type on the drop down menu, under the Electronics tab.

Developing the electronics means that we are able to improve the usability of your CMM. Automation and data collection can be programmed and set up to your exact specifications, tailoring your measuring equipment to work better for you. Overall you will gain more control over your precision inspection machinery.

All our electronics are compatible, programmable and flexible to your CMM requirements.

Manual CMM

MANUAL USB INTERFACES

DIG_USB

Spec: Scale Input :- via 25 way D-Type connector,
3 axis 32 bit counters,Digital inputs configurable for differential quadrature, TTL, Open Collector and Emitter follower, also reference marker input where required.
Renishaw Probe Input:- via 9way D-Type connector, Hardware latch counters, drives probe LED etc.
The unit is self powered by the USB connector but can also have a 5V supply connected to supply power to the scales.

QTM_USB

Spec: as per Dig_USB, but designed specifically to connect 3, 15 way Renishaw scales
The unit is powered by 5v and has an internal 5-12v converter to power, Low air solenoids and Z brakes as used on some CMM’s.
Also has extra general inputs for spindle key buttons etc,

INT_USB

Spec: Input:- via 3 9 way connectors,3 axis 32 bit counters, analogue input with personality module for different scale types, variable interpolation up to 64 times.
Renishaw Probe Input:- via 9way D-Type connector, Hardware latch counters, drives probe LED etc. The unit can be powered by several different types of commercially available power supply to suit the types of scales / encoders being used.
Typical Encodes inputs are analogue : Renishaw, Heidenhain, TESA, Brown & Sharpe, Mitutoyo and most others.

INT_RS

This is an analogue to digital scale interpolator, variable interpolation up to 64 times, output is differential TLL.
The unit can be powered by several different types of commercially available power supply to suit the types of scales / encoders being used.
Typical Encodes inputs are analogue : Renishaw, Heidenhain, TESA, Brown & Sharpe, Mitutoyo and most others.

CNC CMM

CNC Controller and Joystick

QCT have also developed there own CNC CMM controller. The ACC2000 CNC Controller comes complete with  Joystick, and power amplifiers. Details are  available on request. Contact us here
